Background:

While there is no accurate historical record of when and where the game of darts began, no one will seriously deny that darts originated in England. Historians and experts are currently at odds as to whether the game of darts was created there in the Middle Ages or not until much later. It is certain, however, that the "modern" arrows as we know them today were created around 1900 in the three major industrial centers of London, Yorkshire and Manchester.
